First of all, thank you. Every order, review, piece of feedback, message and bit of support means a lot to us. Whether you've been with us from the beginning or have only recently discovered us, you're part of the reason we're still growing.
We're still a relatively small TCG eShop, and we're learning, improving and shaping ourselves around the community every day. So we wanted to take a moment to share where we are, what we're working on and what you can expect from us going forward.
Almost One Year of Hidden Card Hub
It's hard to believe, but this journey is almost a year in.
When we started, we were simply trying to build a small TCG eShop and see where it could take us. Since then, we've learned a huge amount — from sourcing and allocations to preorders, fulfilment, customer service and building a community around something we love.
It hasn't always been straightforward, and we're certainly not where we ultimately want to be yet. But looking back at how far we've come, we're incredibly grateful to everyone who has been part of the journey.
Almost one year in, we're still learning, still improving and very excited to keep going.
Where We Stand
We're currently an online-only eShop, and we want to be honest about what that means.
We simply can't operate at the same scale as a large brick-and-mortar TCG store. Physical stores can often have access to prerelease-period stock, larger allocations and established distribution arrangements that we don't currently have. We also don't have a guaranteed allocation that allows us to confidently open preorders as early as some other retailers.
And honestly, we'd rather be late than disappoint you. We don't want to take your money months in advance, only to find out later that our allocation isn't enough to fulfil the orders we've accepted.
Because of this, we may not always be your first choice when it comes to securing a preorder — and that's okay.
What we hope we can be is another place where you can find the stock you want at a reasonable and fair price, helping you fill that gap in your collection.
Once we have confirmed what we're actually getting, we'll open our preorders based on that information rather than selling beyond what we reasonably expect to receive.
TCG is Hyper Right Now — We're trying to keep it Reasonable
We know the current TCG market is very hyper. Prices can move quickly, demand can be huge and allocations can be extremely limited.
Where we can, we're trying to keep our preorder prices as close to RRP as possible. We can't always achieve that, as our own costs, availability and allocations all play a part, but supporting the hobby is important to us.
When our allocation is particularly limited, we may also need to limit the quantity per customer. This isn't about making things difficult — it's about trying to distribute the available stock as fairly as possible across the community.
We'd rather have more people get something than a few people get everything.
A Reminder about TCG — The Big Hit is Never Guaranteed
We love the excitement of opening TCG products just as much as anyone else. But there's something we think is important to keep saying:
The Big Hit is never guaranteed.
Every case, box and pack is random. You might pull the card you've been chasing, or you might not. Even when you do pull something amazing, the market value of that card can go up or down.
There is no guaranteed card value and no guaranteed return. A £100 box doesn't guarantee £100 of market value inside.
TCG is a hobby and a game. While some people may choose to collect with investment potential in mind, we strongly encourage everyone to make purchases and preorders wisely.
We've unfortunately experienced a chargeback case where an order had been fulfilled without issue, but the customer was unhappy with the outcome of the product. We ultimately lost money despite there being no fulfilment fault on our side.
We've learned from that experience and have since enhanced our checking and order-review process. In certain situations, we may even need to cancel a preorder if we believe there is a risk that we cannot fulfil it properly.
It's not something we want to do, but protecting the business also allows us to continue serving the community.
Buy what you can afford.
Preorder wisely.
Enjoy the game.
And don't treat every pack as an investment.
Sometimes you hit the jackpot. Sometimes you don't. That's TCG. 😅
Whatnot — Our Popup Store before We have a Physical Store
One of the things we've been working on is making the experience more transparent and community-focused. Before we have our own physical store, Whatnot is almost like our popup store.
It's a place where we can interact with you, talk about TCG, open products together and do things that are a little harder to replicate through a traditional eShop.
We've now accumulated over 1,300 orders on Whatnot and maintained 190+ five-star reviews, which we're incredibly grateful for.
Why Do We Sell Loose Packs on Whatnot?
This is also why we offer loose pack sales on Whatnot.
We understand that some people may have concerns about buying loose packs online — particularly questions about whether packs have been selected or filtered.
Whatnot gives us a much more transparent environment. During a live show, you can choose your pack, watch it being handled and decide whether you want to rip it live or keep it sealed.
It's especially fun for higher-value packs such as Collector Boosters, or when someone wants to pick a box and simply degen on stream with us. 😂
Whatnot also provides a video record throughout the stream, so both you and we can go back and review what happened during the show.
It's not quite the same as having a physical shop, but for us, it's the closest thing we currently have to a community popup store — and we're having a lot of fun with it.
International Shipping
Another major advantage of Whatnot is that it gives us a much easier way to serve the international TCG community.
Our eShop is currently focused mainly on UK domestic orders. Offering international shipping directly can be complicated, with different shipping costs, customs requirements and carrier arrangements depending on the destination.
For UK sellers, Whatnot supports international shipping through DPD, giving us an integrated way to send orders internationally where supported. There are additional platform and shipping costs involved, but the convenience helps us overcome many of the challenges of offering international shipping directly through our eShop.
For more information, you can check Whatnot's official guidance on international shipping, customs and imports.
A Quick Note about Royal Mail Deliveries
For our eShop orders, we generally use Royal Mail 48 Tracked. While this gives you tracking and is a reliable service for most deliveries, sometimes a delivery attempt may be missed or Royal Mail may not be able to leave the parcel safely.
If this happens, please don't worry — you can usually reschedule your delivery or arrange a redelivery directly through Royal Mail using the tracking information provided for your order.
This can often be the quickest way to get your parcel back on its way, especially if you're not going to be home for the next delivery attempt.
You can manage your delivery through Royal Mail's tracking service using your tracking number.
Of course, if you have any trouble with the delivery or aren't sure what to do, feel free to contact us and we'll do our best to help.
One Community, Two Platforms
Our eShop and Whatnot are both part of the same community. They're simply different ways of interacting with us.
The eShop is where you can conveniently purchase sealed products, preorders and other stock.
Whatnot is where we can bring a more interactive experience — live pack ripping, singles, breaks, games, conversations and a little bit of chaos. 😂
Regardless of where you buy from us, we put the same standard of care into every order and every supporter. Whether you're spending £1 on a single item or much more on a sealed product, your order matters to us.
Our TCG Lineup is Growing
We're excited to expand into some new TCGs while continuing to support the games we've already been following.
- Palworld TCG — We're starting to support Palworld TCG from Set 2 onwards.
- Cyberpunk TCG — We're supporting Cyberpunk TCG from its first release, and the preorder has just opened.
- Magic: The Gathering
- Disney Lorcana
- Riftbound: League of Legends TCG
The upcoming MTG, Disney Lorcana and Riftbound sets are still very much part of our plans. We've done our preorders and are hoping for better allocations this time around. 🤞🏻
As always, we'll continue doing our best to secure as much stock as we can while keeping our pricing as reasonable as possible.
Stay Connected — Discord is the Fastest
If you want to hear from us as quickly as possible, our Discord is the best place to be.
We regularly send EDMs as well, but email isn't always perfect. You might have opted out, the email might land in junk, or your email provider might simply delay it.
Discord is much more immediate, especially for:
- New preorder announcements
- Preorder opening times
- Stock and allocation updates
- Preorder status updates
- Whatnot shows
- New products and other community news
It's also a casual place where you can DM us directly if you want to ask something. And don't worry — we're not going to ping you every five minutes. 🤣
It's meant to be a casual community channel, not a "PING PING PING PING" attack.
If you want the fastest updates from us, Discord is the place to join.
We're still Learning
We're not pretending we've got everything figured out. We're still learning, improving our processes and working out what works best for us and, more importantly, what works best for the community.
We're an online TCG shop today, but hopefully one day we'll be able to take the next step and have a physical space of our own. Until then, we'll continue building what we can through our eShop, Whatnot and Discord.
We genuinely hope we can be part of your TCG journey — whether that's helping you find the next box for your collection, watching you pull an insane card live on Whatnot, or simply being somewhere you can pick up a product at a reasonable price.
Finally — Thank You ❤️
None of this would be possible without the people who support us. Every order helps us grow, every review helps other people discover us, and every piece of feedback helps us improve.
Every Whatnot follow, purchase and five-star review keeps us moving forward. And even when something doesn't go perfectly, your patience and understanding mean a lot.
We're still a small business. We're still learning. But we're here, we're growing, and we're excited about what's next.
Thank you for being part of our community.
Here's to more sets, more collections, more ridiculous pulls, more questionable pack-opening decisions...
…and hopefully a lot more BIG HITS. 🤞🏻🔥🍀
See you on the next rip!
